Cole lived a hard life at a racetrack, as many Greyhounds do. When his health (specifically his terrible flea-dermatitis and inability to run) became too much of a liability for the track owner, he was sent to a rescue organization in Tennessee.

Here, wonderful Tracey M. took him under the wing of her rescue organization, rehabilitated him and helped him find a permanent home.
